A leader in environmental education since 1983. We are a non-profit empowering people of all ages to become stewards, mentors and leaders. Helping children and adults cultivate healthy relationships with nature, community, and self. Our mission is to help youth and adults cultivate healthy relationships with nature, community and self.Through nature connection and cultural mentoring, we provide transformational experiences that awaken people's unique gifts, deepen their relationship with nature, and empower them to enrich the health of their communities. While most of the youth for our programs come from King County in Washington State, our adults come from throughout the US and worldwide. Many of our adults students have gone on to start their own schools throughout the US and internationally.

Wilderness Awareness School
Join us in the heart of the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley for a weekend immersion into the ancient art of Bird Language—a form of interspecies communication once known to all our ancestors and still accessible today. Unlike traditional birding, Bird Language focuses on the behavior and vocalizations of birds to reveal hidden patterns in the landscape, such as the presence of predators and the dynamics of wildlife interactions. .
