The membership based nonprofit organization works to Locate and collect local historical material Landmark local sites and buildings of historical significance Publish books related to the history of Pacific Palisades Provide educational programs on the historical heritage of Pacific Palisades and helps to encourage the teachingof our local history. Our Story The Pacific Palisades Historical Society currently owns and maintains Founders Oak Island the small park in the 900 block of Haverford Avenue. Considered the modern birthplace of Pacific Palisades Founders Oak Island is the location where the story of the Palisades as we know it today all began.
