Oregon Bach Collegium | Historically Informed Performance Oregon Bach Collegium Historically Informed Performance Upcoming Concerts The Oregon Bach Collegium 20242025 Season Spell of the Sensuous Viol Quartets of the Baroque Sunday March 9 3pm Episcopal Church of the Resurrection 3925 Hilyard Eugene The Baroque era was a time of daring experimentation in the arts. Composers employed rhetorical devices and bold poignant counterpoint in an attempt to appeal directly to the emotions of the audience. The viol consort although rooted in the more conservative Renaissance tradition was also a subject of composers experimentation. Special guests Mary Springfels and Adaiha MacAdamSomer will join us as we explore this sensuous music from the twilight years of the viol consort.
