Together we can build a more inclusive and resilient food economy. How were supporting families farmers and local economies First piloted in Michigan in 2009 our Double Up Food Bucks program has grown into a national model for nutrition incentives. Double Up matches SNAP purchases of fruits and vegetables helping families stretch their food budgets while supporting farmers and local food businesses.

We joined more than 250 farm, food, and health advocates across 42 states, DC, and Puerto Rico in urging the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Commission to expand federal #GusNIP nutrition incentives to address the chronic disease epidemic. Nutrition incentives—like dollar-for-dollar matches for SNAP shoppers buying fruits and vegetables—are a proven tool that supports families, strengthens local farms, and builds healthier communities.
