The Annual Budget Referendum will take place on Tuesday, June 3. All voting will take place at Town Hall. This year voters have the opportunity to vote on three items: the Town budget, Schools budget, and repairs to the drinking water filter plant with a bond via the State Drinking Water Revolving Fund program. The 2025 Memorial Day Parade will be held this Sunday, May 25. Step-off is at 12:30 PM from WJJMS proceeding downtown to the Veteran’s Memorial Green where a ceremony honoring America’s fallen veterans will be held. The theme of this year’s parade is “Colchester Remembers the 50th Anniversary of the End of the Vietnam War.” Our Public Works crews have been hard at work this week freshening up the downtown, including mulching the areas along merchant’s row, prepping the Town Green, performing additional litter clean-up, and more even in the rain to get ready for this weekend's parade. Thank you to our crews and members of the Memorial Day Parade Committee for everything they have done to get ready for Sunday and honor our veterans. Reminder: Town buildings will be closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day.
