Craniofacial Abnormalities are variety of syndromes which result from the infant’s skull or facial bones fusing abnormally or too soon. These syndromes can lead to brain damage which varies depending on severity and what part of the brain is affected. Cleft lip and cleft palate are defined as openings or splits in the upper lip, roof of the mouth (palate), or both. It is usually easily seen at birth but can be confirmed with imaging.
