Toastmasters International

Formation and History

Toastmasters International was formally established on October 22, 1924, by Ralph C. Smedley in Santa Ana, California. • Competent Communication Manual: This traditional manual guides members through ten speeches designed to enhance basic communication skills. Upon completing these speeches, members receive a globally recognized certificate.
• Speechcraft: A short-term program designed for non-members, conducted by experienced Toastmasters.

As of 2024, Toastmasters International boasts over 270,000 members across 14,000 clubs in nearly 150 countries. The organization continues to grow, offering a diverse platform for professional and personal development.

World Championship of Public Speaking
