Sarasota's independent, non-profit organization focused on providing resources & funds to promote excellent police service and improve public safety. SPF supports programs to enhance effective, community-oriented policing in Sarasota. The mission of the Sarasota Police Foundation (SPF) is to receive and administer grants and contributions of money or property from individuals, private organizations, businesses and public sources, and to apply or disburse these contributions for the benefit of the men and women of the Sarasota Police Department. The Foundation focuses on programs and initiatives related to health, wellness, and safety of officers, and their families. SPF also enclourages and supports bidirectional communication and dialog between the Police Department and all segments of the community.
