Lions Varsity Baseball played Triad on Friday night in their first game of the OHSAA Sectional Tournament. The Lions won 2-1 in a 9 inning game and advance in the tournament. The game entered the top of the 9th inning 0-0 and Triad scored the game's first run. In the bottom of the 9th the Lions bats came alive with clutch hitting from Cole Bowden, Jack Meyer and Brock Rue. Cole Bowden was 2-3. Jack Meyer was 2-4 at the plate and pitched 7 innings, giving up no runs with 11 strikeouts. Gage Bradley finished the game on the mound and picked up the win. The Lions play today at Troy Christian for the District Semifinal at 5pm. (fb)
