Our primary mission is to assist individuals and communities to humanely and effectively reduce stray and feral cats through TNR Trap- neuter-return program . We are an adoption (by appointment) center for cats that are ready for their forever homes. CatVando's goal is to reduce the number of cats living in the streets, through a comprehensive trap, neuter and return (TNR) program. TNR has led to rescue, so we act as infirmary for the sick/injured and sanctuary for ferals, strays, young or old. We socialize kittens and friendly strays, so we can find them forever homes. CatVando sponsors a large network of cat colonies, who are trained and supported by us, for the life of the colony. Other activities include community education, youth mentoring and promoting respect for all life.

We believe in the importance of trap neuter return TNR programs to control the feral cat population and reduce suffering. Our shelter also provides a hospice for cats with terminal illnesses offering them a loving home for their remaining days. Additionally we act as a sanctuary for cats that are deemed unadoptable due to behavioral or medical issues.
