With nearly 20 years of experience in public health consulting as a Scientist, Director of Abuse-Deterrent Drug Products, and Director of Abuse Potential Assessment, August found himself facing an unexpected career shift when his position was eliminated in 2024. After 10 months of unemployment and only one interview opportunity, August knew he needed a new path. Thanks to Frederick County Workforce Services, August discovered the Biotech Boot Camp—and the rest is history. After successfully completing the program, he landed nine interviews within a week and has just started his new role as a Biorepository Technician at @Precision For Medicine!
