Advanced Manufacturing #Apprenticeships for High School Students and Adults Serving 400 Apprentices & 300+ Employers in the PNW. #EarnWhileYouLearn AJAC launched in 2008 to skill-up the aerospace and advanced manufacturing workforce through registered apprenticeship. AJAC serves approximately 400 apprentices per year at close to 300 companies. AJAC is an industry-driven apprenticeship organization, founded on the belief that mastery occurs on the job. Through pre-apprenticeship, youth apprenticeship and adult apprenticeship, all people have the opportunity to earn competitive wages, find meaningful and fulfilling work, and pursue lifelong learning.

Aerospace Machinists Joint Training Committee
Instead of just showing up at career fairs, we’ve been going straight into classrooms to talk with high school seniors about careers in manufacturing. Two weeks ago, it paid off—we signed our first machining apprentice from our presentation at Arlington High School last spring. This year, we’re expanding our outreach to connect even more students with the fast-track opportunities an apprenticeship can provide.
