Delaware Valley Science Fairs, Inc., seeks to stimulate interest in inquiry-based STEM among middle- and high-school students. Stimulating interest in inquiry-based Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) among middle-school and high-school students Founded in 1949, Delaware Valley Science Fairs (DVSF) strives to bring parents, teachers, and industry together to stimulate and nurture young people so that they grow and develop into contributing members of the community. DVSF, a 501(c)3 organization, enables students in middle and high schools to develop a love of science, to encourage their interest at this stage in their lives, to help them gain confidence and, finally, to move into careers in science or engineering. DVSF year-round programs provide opportunities to inspire the next generation of innovators and support students, mentors, and teachers in Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Southern New Jersey. The philosophy behind our programs is that students learn science by doing science.

The students are involved in sophisticated research projects that focus on STEM Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics topics in 13 different categories Team Projects and for 6th 8th grades Consumer Science. Each year 900 to 1000 students in grades 6th through 12th from Pennsylvania Southern New Jersey and Delaware make new discoveries that could change their lives forever as they participate in the Delaware Valley Science Fairs DVSF.
