We seek to be a place where anyone - LGBTQ+ and allies - can enjoy playing music together. The Philadelphia Freedom Band seeks to be a place where anyone - lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) or straight - can enjoy the beauty of playing and performing music with supportive friends. The Philadelphia Freedom Band is simply a group of people who love to play music in large and small ensembles. Many of us played instruments in our high school and college bands. Others are professionally trained musicians. We've come together to practice our skills, perform for the public and be visible as folks who support the LGBT community and its straight allies. We welcome anyone who wants to play in a concert band with others in community.
