CHS Addressing the immediate impacting individuals and families housing and food challenges across the Greater Pittsburgh area. OUR PROGRAMS COMMUNITY PROGRAMS HOUSING SHELTER RESIDENTIAL We fulfill our mission through four collaborative departments Community Programs Housing Shelter and Residential. Each boasts critical programs and initiatives to support individuals and families experiencing a housing crisis or food insecurity. Our services include the operation of emergency shelters housing case management and assistance rapid and permanent housing residential programs community centers and programs mental health services and food accessibility.

Last week, our Family Shelter had an amazing gardening activity where each family made their own beautiful and unique gardens outside of their townhomes. It was a wonderful day of color, connection, and a whole lot of dirt under our nails. With it being Mental Health Awareness Month, this day was the perfect reminder that simple things—like digging in the dirt, laughing with loved ones, and building something together—can go a long way in boosting mental health.

Volunteer Spotlight: High School Juniors at The Neighborhood Academy We want to extend a huge thanks to the Junior Class at The Neighborhood Academy and their teacher, Mr. Monsma, for their incredible two-day volunteer project at Community Bridge. Thanks to their hard work, our front patio and yard have been transformed into a welcoming outdoor oasis.
