Doctors Giving Back is a medical relief/humanitarian aid, non-profit organization made of up individuals with diverse backgrounds that are dedicated to improving the quality of life for impoverished people in Africa. We are committed to providing care, preventing and eliminating disease, inspiring hope, giving life and making a life-changing impact on poverty-stricken people in destitute countries. Basic healthcare in Africa is very limited and in some remote areas, almost non-existent. People suffer from totally preventable and treatable diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, typhoid, cholera, intestinal parasites, AIDS, and other life threatening diseases. A staggering 85% of these diseases are caused by the only available drinking water they have...unclean disease ridden water from streams and rivers. Most of these illnesses can be improved or eliminated with clean water programs, basic medical care and preventative heath education. Our goal is to greatly reduce the incidence of preventable diseases in Africa. We improve the quality of life for the people we serve by providing medical care, medical supplies, immunizations and medicines, clothes, and shoes, by offering life changing solutions such as clean water programs, and educating communities about nutrition and preventative health care measures all as we empower people and work to solve problems for people struggling to meet their basic needs.
