Today 16 Lincoln Volunteers finished their 48 confine space and rope rescue academy. Crews put everything together we have learned over the past few weeks and ran through numerous scenarios. Many thought it was one of the best trainings they have completed. Thanks to all the instructors who made this class possible and to all the members who devoted alot of their time to this class. Tonight Station 16 along with mutual aid were dispatched to the 1300 block of Martin Avenue in Ephrata Township for an apartment building. Captain 16-1 arrived with nothing showing and upon investigating found an active fire inside the dryer and a moderate smoke condition in the apartment. The fire was quickly extinguished and was contained to the dryer with no damage to the apartment or building. Thanks to all our mutual aid departments who responded. (fb)
