USODA is the national class organization for Optimist sailing in the United States. The United States Optimist Dinghy Association supports and sustains junior sailors, their families, and junior sailing programs with leadership, information, and organization of the National Team, Development Team, and promoting Optimist youth sailing. THE UNITED STATES OPTIMIST DINGHY ASSOCIATION (USODA) WAS FORMED TO INTRODUCE AND EDUCATE CHILDREN ABOUT SAILING. THE OPTIMIST CLASS ARE USED FOR THIS PURPOSE AND ARE DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR CHILDREN. THE USODA IS A NATIONWIDE MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION THAT SPONSORS, SACTIONS AND OVERSEES THE ACTIVITIES OF THE ASSOCIATION. THERE ARE OVER 400,000 OPTIMISTS CLASS BOATS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.

United States Optimist Dinghy Association Inc

Introducing Benjamin Dreyfuss, Team USA for the Optimist European Championships. Benjamin Dreyfuss is a Freshman at St John Neumann Catholic High School in Naples, Florida. He sails on the weekends with coach Bryce Tone at Sarasota Yacht Club. Benjamin loves sailing, flying airplanes on his simulator and playing and joking with his SYC teammates. He is very excited to have qualified for the 2025 Optimist European Championship and is hoping to be able to perform at his best. (fb)
