Cumberland Valley Rails to Trails Council, Inc.
Connecting Shippensburg, Newville & eventually Carlisle. Almost 14 miles so far with more to come! Home to the Cumberland Valley Railroad Museum. CVRTC is an all-volunteer, non-profit that is developing the Cumberland Valley Trail, from Shippensburg to Carlisle, in Cumberland County PA. CVRTC is an all volunteer corporation formed to acquire and develop abandoned rail corridors within the Cumberland Valley into public-use trails that will allow safe exercise, recreation and non-motorized transportation and aesthetically enhance the neighboring areas, while preserving the natural resources and history of the corridors. Opportunities for community service and improved quality of life are the desired outcomes.

The Partnership for Better Health WellSpan Health and MT Charitable Foundation have provided a matching gift incentive of 150000. When you make a donation between March 1 and March 31 100 of your donation will come to CVRTC plus we will also receive a proportional amount of the 150000 based on the total we raise in the month of March.
