Toy Gun Films was founded in 2009 by Brent and producing partner Jeff Goldberg with the mandate of telling stories from around the world that champion moral courage. The cofounders took film production as far as Columbia Tokyo and South Africa. Over a span of four years Toy Gun Films created four large budget shorts and earned a total of seventyfive awards. Since 2011 Toy Gun Films has partnered with a number of films including Silence directed by Martin Scorsese and the box office hit I Can Only Imagine.
