Growing Up Africa

Follow Message Edit

Growing Up Africa (GUA) is a not-for-profit organization with a passion for improving the lives of children and the communities where they live, particularly in impoverished areas. The goal and mission of GUA is to tackle this problem by building sustainable early childhood development and training facilities along with vocation-education multi-purpose education campus facilities. Growing Up Africa includes an exceptional group of dedicated professionals, university students and community members who give tirelessly (pro bono) to these important projects. Growing Up Africa has gathered a diverse group of pro bono partners, representing developers, educators, for‐profit and not‐for‐profit organizations, construction companies and suppliers to the construction industry, all dedicated to the advancement of communities ensuring social development and stability and growth for years to come. Working collaboratively these groups have donated time, materials and leadership as a contribution to the goals of the organization and in commitment to the projects. These partners include leading national and international development and construction providing consulting and assistance in the construction process, donating materials, supplies and assistance. To our knowledge there is no other similar construction initiative in Africa that is built upon the commitment of mainly "in-kind" sponsorship/partnerships. GUA receives land use rights in order for GUA and its partners to build. GUA does not purchase, own or maintain; building and equipping only.
