Our April concert, "Inspired Journeys," features orchestral piece 'Testament from Vishwas' by Indian-American composer Reena Esmail. As her bio states, "She works between the worlds of Indian and Western classical music." Reena has been featured by PBS Great Performances and Metropolitan Museum of Art. She is also currently Artist-in-Residence for the Los Angeles Master Chorale and was Seattle Symphony's Composer-in-Residence from 2020 to 2021. We’re excited to hear her incredible piece, which tells the story of a 15th-century Indian saint-poet. Her deep devotion to Krishna, a Hindu deity, profoundly influences every aspect of her life.
