Today, we begin our 2025 Nonprofit Partner Spotlight with our 2025 Arts + Culture Impact Grant Recipient: Arts+ For over 55 years, Arts+ has served the Charlotte community through instruction in music and visual arts, offering private lessons, group classes and workshops, summer camps, early childhood arts education, Studio 345, and the Charlotte Youth Choir. Every year, Arts+ teaches extensively in low-income neighborhoods and provides significant student financial assistance for all their paid offerings. Additionally, their outreach programs are always free to community members. In February 2024, Arts+ signed a 50-year lease for the Plaza Presbyterian Church, now the Arts+ Community Campus. They are utilizing the space over the next year with private lessons, group classes, camps, and community festivals while raising $16M to begin renovations in September of this year. With the WIF Impact Grant, Arts+ will be able to support salaries for two staff positions for one year each: Creative Director and Facilities/ Rental Manager, both of which will extensively support the growth of the Arts+ Community Campus.
