Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP) offers weatherization services to improve energy efficiency for homes and businesses throughout Virginia. Founded in 2009, the Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP) is a trusted leader for home energy efficiency solutions. LEAP offers a wide range of services that reduce utility bills. For qualifying households, LEAP's program is completely free of cost. LEAP is a nonprofit working to empower Virginia home and business owners with energy-efficiency and solar solutions, bringing comfort and savings while mitigating climate change. We start with an assessment to survey a home or business’s energy use and appliance efficiency, resulting in a custom, comprehensive report of recommendations. We then help clients create clear road maps for how to affordably make their space more comfortable and energy efficient, and save energy each month. A provider of income- and age-qualifying weatherization programs for a variety of utility programs, LEAP also provides services including air sealing, insulation, and more at no cost to qualified residents (renters and homeowners) - and for a competitive rate to market rate clients.
