VFS is a faith-based organization that feeds kids in need, promotes responsible fatherhood, and helps families in crisis. All of our programs are designed to help children have the best advantage in lives ahead. We service the Shelby County area of Alabama. We have 3 main programs: BackPack Buddies: A weekend feeding program that targets food insecurity.We service 3 school systems. FIT Dad: A 2nd chance program for dads who need help re-connecting with their children, learning to co-parent effectively, and becoming healthy individuals. Men are assisted with job readiness and other resources to help become the best they can be. KYLO: A program for women that are in need of help with co-parenting, healing, and becoming better parents. Coparenting plans & mediation services are also offered.
