A BETTER CHANCE STRATH HAVEN INC
The problem, or need we strive to address, results from schools in poor, minority neighborhoods being under-funded, leaving talented minority students with few educational options. Our students come from inner-city schools in which classes are over-crowded and students have to share outdated textbooks, if the books are available at all. Honors, advanced placement classes and extra-curricular activities are almost nonexistent. Access to technology that many modern students take for granted is unavailable. Our mission is to provide an alternate path for our students, ensuring they are prepared for successful college and post-college careers.
