This Sunday we premiere our 2024 commission, "Four Movements after Kandinsky" by composer Peter Child, whom the Boston Musical Intelligencer has praised as “one of the most interesting and heartily youthful composers anywhere in America today.” Peter wrote the new work for oboe, viola and piano after he experienced an exhibition of Kandinsky’s early works and was inspired by "their vividness of color and line, the power of their symbolism." Check out the composer's own notes and links to the artworks that inspired the commission: https://bit.ly/BCMS20250413Notes Come join us! Tickets: https://bit.ly/BCMS20250413Tix (fb)
