TO ENHANCE THE SAFETY OF PEOPLE WHO LIVE AND WORK IN THE EDINA, MINNESOTA COMMUNITY, AS WELL AS THE BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS OPERATING THERE. THE PRIMARY FOCUS IS CRIME PREVENTION, BUT THE EDINA CRIME PREVENTION FUND ALSO SUPPORTS PROGRAMS THAT PROMOTE PERSONAL AND PROPERTY SAFETY AND EDUCATION. THE FUND ALSO FINANCIALLY SUPPORTS PROGRAMS AND SERVICES OF THE EDINA FIRE DEPARTMENT (SEE ATTACHED AMENDMENT TO ARTICLES)

The Fund is a proud and significant contributor to many police department services and programs including Neighbors Home Watch Bike Patrol Junior Police Foot Patrol K9 Unit Motorcycle Unit Night to Unite Mobile Surveillance Unit Citizens Academy Police Explorers and many more. The Fund has also has paid out a substantial amount in reward and informant money. This money has assisted the police in solving serious crimes including burglaries and robberies.
