GHA is dedicated to constructing homes and providing educational scholarships for families in need. Share your thoughts, tell us your story and join in on the discussion. GHA's mission is both housing and education for under-served indigenous communities. Families often live in unhealthy, perilous situations in which homes are cobbled together with scavenged materials or cornstalks, and driving rain can turn dirt floors into parasitic mud. GHA's model unites 3 families in great need, a representative of each laboring on all 3 homes as their sole contribution to having their own. Each home is built in the traditional Bajareque, wattle and daub, method which is sustainable, comfortable, beautiful, and durable. GHA also repairs leaky roofs and replaces dirt floors with cement. Our second mission is education. We provide scholarships from primary school through college and offer enrichment studies, promoting real change for future generations.
