Folks, it has been a rough week. We know that all of our followers know this, but PLEASE share the word. Wildlife babies are fragile. We have lost ducklings, raccoons, bunnies, and opossums because they are cute? If you find babies in need (make sure they are in need, don't kidnap them). Place them in a box in a quiet, warm area. Use the Animal Help Now app or call the DFW Wildlife Coalition. They have our contact information and will assist you with reuniting the baby with momma or finding the closest species-specific rehabber to which you can take it. DO NOT drop them off in a trash bag, pass them around at the block party, or keep them for 2-3 days and then call. They are stressed out already with losing their mom, and you are putting the babies, your families, and pets at risk. The faster we get them the proper care, the better chance they have of survival.
