Summer can be lonely – or it can be a lifeline. During the summer months, without the structure of school in place, many vulnerable youth across the Bay Area face loneliness, anxiety, and uncertainty. 🫵 This is where YOU come in. Your gift today helps us match more local youth with caring, consistent mentors – adults who show up, listen, and remind them of their worth. Summer is when it matters most. Just look at Reign’s story: 💭 In July 2016, Reign was only 9 years old and struggling with depression, anxiety, and isolation. That's when she met her Big, Misty. Misty encouraged Reign to explore, create, and dream. They bonded over art projects, building a relationship that has lasted through every season of Reign’s life. Her journey began with one Match, during one summer, just like this one. “She’s been a constant in my life,” Reign told us. “Misty motivates me to strive for anything I set my mind to.” 👉 Will you make your summer gift now? By giving before July 15, you’ll help provide mentorship that keeps youth connected, confident, and on track. Give the gift of mentorship today: http://give.bbbsba.org/spring2025. ☀️ Let’s make this a summer of hope and belonging for more Bay Area youth. 💚 #BBBSBA #SpringAppeal #SummerAppeal #Donate (fb)

At the heart of our mission is the incredible bond formed between our Bigs and Littles. These relationships not only have a lasting impact on the youth, but they also transform the lives of our adult volunteers. We're especially proud of the repeat Bigs who continue to make a difference by mentoring multiple youth over the years. Meet two of our standout Repeat Bigs: 💪 Michael Hamilton has mentored 3 Littles over 18 years, proving that one person can make a difference. He says, "I realized I could make a difference one Little at a time." 👭 Julie Edson has also mentored 3 Littles, including Paloma, and has created a community where her Littles are also sisters to each other. She says, "Giving through service provides me with a healthy balance." 👏 We're so grateful for the 40 Repeat Bigs who have been matched more than once and continue to change lives.
