The English as a Second Language (ESL) Program is an outreach program of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Rehoboth Beach, DE. The ESL Program has the core purpose to provide education and opportunity to enable students to acquire English and to assimilate in their new home and culture. We invite and welcome all students without regard to origin or religious beliefs. There is no religious instruction or content in any of our curriculum or classes. In 2004, the LCOS congregation recognized the need for an ESL program in Sussex County. In March 2009, Dr. Christine Cannon of the Arsht-Cannon Fund awarded funds to support the program—specifically a free childcare program for the children of students. By offering this childcare program, enrollment increased to 150 in September of that year.
