Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) child care providers play a critical role in delivering culturally responsive, flexible care to millions of families. Yet their leadership potential often goes untapped. This new report, Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) Child Care Providers’ Perceptions, Experiences, and Motivations for Leadership, examines FFN providers’ leadership perceptions and needs. This report outlines actionable steps for strengthening leadership opportunities among FFN providers. The study was conducted for the Child Care Providers United Training Fund by Early Care and Education Consulting and the Indigo Cultural Center Research Team, with funding from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. 🔎 How do I raise a Black child with a positive racial identity? 🔎 What factors influence their self-perception and identity development? 🔎 And how do I contribute to their growth as a caregiver? Join @embracerace for a 2-hour workshop as we explore these topics together and spend time asking questions, sharing stories, and practicing relevant skills. This workshop is for any caregiver that plays a meaningful role with a black child or black children, either at home, in the classroom, or other spaces.
