As an advocate for these families, our focus is to: -Provide a support network for the families in their efforts to determine the fates of their missing loved ones. -Address the impact of a missing person in a family unit. -Heighten public awareness of the consequences of missing persons. -Persuade responsible officials to release information they have concerning missing persons. -Assist in advancing solutions to promote the development and implementation of international and national standards to prevent persons from becoming unaccounted for, resolve cases of missing persons, and meet humanitarian needs of the family units.

FAMILIES OF THE MISSING Families of the Missing formerly known as THE INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF FAMILY ASSOCIATIONS OF MISSING PERSONS FROM ARMED CONFLICTS IFFAMPAC Our Focus Weve expanded our work beyond conflict countries and now work directly with families not just family associations. Our focus and objectives remain the same. Whether the families of missing persons emanate from armed conflict situations or from drug wars natural disasters or other means they face the same rehabilitation issues needed to restore their rightful place back into society as healthy families. Only then can local and regional economic development be sustained leading to peace.
