Our desire is to share compassion with individuals who arediagnosed with kidney disease by supporting efforts for early screening,detection, online support group services, and awareness of treatment optionsthat include Living Donor Paired Kidney Exchange. National Kidney Center will work to educate each generation about the risk factors that can lead tokidney disease and the treatment options available to live a full life. National Kidney Center provides an onlinesupport group community where individuals with kidney disease can connect and shareinformation with family members, friends and care providers. Through our educational efforts and thecollective power of compassionate individuals, we will work to reduce thenumber of individuals who die from to kidney disease each year and providesupport to establish a live donor national registry.

Many of us know about heart disease and cancer but kidney disease is an underrecognized health crisis currently kidney disease is the 9th leading cause of death in this country and many people who have it dont even realize it. Whats more 1 in 3 Americans are at risk for developing CKD common precursors to the disease include diabetes obesity and high blood pressure. The relationship between Chronic Kidney Disease CKD and sleep has not been fully explored but studieshave shown people with chronic disorders such as CKD experience a high prevalence of sleep disorders compared to the general population including sleep apnea insomnia restless leg syndrome and daytime sleepiness.
