THE ECSU FOUNDATION, INC. IS DEDICATED TO THE SUPPORT OF EDUCATION, RESEARCH, SCHOLARSHIPS AND SPECIAL PROGRAMS AT EASTERN CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITY. THE FOUNDATION IS DIRECTED BY A VOLUNTEER BOARD OF BUSINESS LEADERS AND CIVIC-MINDED FRIENDS OF THE UNIVERSITY. THE FOUNDATION SOLICITS FUNDS FOR A VARIETY OF PURPOSES CENTRAL TO THE HEALTH OF THE UNIVERSITY, INCLUDING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS (UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE), LECTURESHIPS, EQUIPMENT, SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND NEW ACADEMIC INITIATIVES. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES VITALLY NEEDED DOLLARS FOR A VARIETY OF PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS THAT ARE NOT FUNDED BY THE STATE BUDGET. FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS CREATE THE CRITICAL MARGIN OF DIFFERENCE FOR STUDENTS WHO MIGHT OTHERWISE NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND EASTERN CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITY.
