The RFC recently marked the end of a busy 2025 spring granting cycle, with our Board awarding over $220K in grants to 84 families and welcoming eight new activists - both parent and youth activists - to our community as first-time grantees. These funds come at a critical time in which threats against activists are escalating. It has been a distinct privilege to support the families of environmental rights activist leaders, abortion rights activists and anti-genocide protesters standing up to right-wing disinformation tactics and many more like them, and we are buoyed by the innovative ways in which they create meaningful enrichment opportunities for their children (like the adorable young beneficiary learning about nature and food systems while growing a raised bed garden, featured in the photo!).
