Darien Emergency Medical Service Who We Are Darien Emergency Medical Service is a 501c3 nonprofit volunteer ambulance service in Darien New York. We share a building with the Darien Volunteer Fire Company but are a separate entity though we share many of the same volunteers. Our volunteers take pride in serving our community taking on roles including Ambulance Drivers EMTs and Paramedics. Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds and may work fulltime jobs as Construction Workers Truck Drivers Nurses Teachers Salesmen Farmers Mechanics or even as First Responders in other areas such as Buffalo Batavia and Rochester.
