West Suburban Special Recreation Foundation, Inc.
WSSRF was formed in 1985 by parents of children with disabilities as a fund raising organization which would maintain and expand recreational programs provided by the West Suburban Special Recreation Association (WSSRA). WSSRA is a cooperative extension of eleven suburban Chicago park districts & Villages and provides year round recreation opportunities such as day camp, social programs, and Boy Scouts through integration in local park district programs as well as programs specifically offered by WSSRA. We promote leisure skill development, both physical and social, and work to enhance the quality of like of mentally and physically disabled children, youths and adults.
