"I never witnessed humanity’s joy, grace, and grief more than on the labor floor," shares Magee-Womens alum Dr. Amber Samuel. As a medical student at Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Samuel was certain she wouldn't go into maternal-fetal medicine. But everything changed during Dr. Samuel's first intern rotation in labor and delivery at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital. Her journey in maternal-fetal medicine took her to Columbia University Medical Center for a fellowship, and Northwestern University for an MBA.
