Making a difference, one child at at time. The World Orphan Fund provides funding to orphans and those who care for them. With no staff or overhead, 100% of donations directly benefit orphans. The mission of the World Orphan Fund is to give vulnerable and often desperate children a chance at a better life. We’re an all-volunteer organization with no overhead, staff, or administrative expenses. 100% of our donations go directly to fund projects to aid orphaned children. Our board members cover their own travel and administrative costs, and we have visited 152 children’s homes in 15 countries. Our donors have funded more than 180 projects, including vocational training and transition programs, housing and therapy for special needs children, clean water, emergency food, and trauma therapy for children who have suffered from abuse, neglect, malnutrition, and extreme trauma.

In Malawi, more than one million children have been orphaned or abandoned—but 15,000 of them face the harshest, most heartbreaking reality. Often called “throwaway children,” these boys and girls—some as young as two—are surviving completely alone. They sleep in fields, under cardboard boxes, or behind roadside stalls.
