We are dedicated to assisting working single parents and their children that are in financial crisis. Our parents are supported through subsidized childcare assistance and educational resources. “Empowering Action to Move Forward” - Strength, Perseverance, Persistence, Purposefulness Forward Foundation is dedicated to assisting working, single parents and their children in the Greater Richmond area who have encountered a life altering event resulting in financial crisis. We have designed a program that fosters the resilience and independence of the families we serve so they can “move forward.” Qualified families are eligible to receive subsidized childcare assistance, educational programming, and support services. Our comprehensive program prioritizes financial literacy for the entire family, but also provides access to professional workshops centered around legal concerns, career advancement, parental coaching, mental health, and life skills. .

Dear Friends, It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our precious friend and beloved past Chair, Jamie Allgood, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jamie was so much more than a leader to our organization; her compassion, wisdom, and unwavering belief in our mission shaped not only the work we do, but also the spirit in which we do it. Jamie had a unique gift in the way she made you feel inspired, encouraged, and seen.
