Shop Now Forgotten Foundation Bringing relief love hope education to displaced refugees from Burma now living in Thailand Forgotten Foundation Our Mission We have been working in Thailand with Karen refugees from Burma since January 2008. We operate out of Albuquerque NM and in an undisclosed location along the Thailand Burma border. The Karen people are one of the many ethnic groups living inside Burma that are oppressed by soldiers and officials of the State Peace Development Council SPDC Burmas ruling military junta. For decades now they have been forced out of their own country and constantly face slavery kidnapping destruction of their homes villages and crops extortion vandalism torture sexual assault and executions.
