Missy and “More” Babies PART 3 Welcome back to the Mama and babies series! Today we are debuting Missy and her pups. Mama “Missy” is a small 14 pound Lab Chihuahua Terrier mix. She originally came in at our other (Wabash) located in Chicago. Diane recognized that she was very pregnant and decided to transfer her to us at Chicgao Ridge. Since we have a full medical team, it would be best for the Mama’s birthing process to take place, just in case something should go wrong. Mama shortly thereafter gave birth to 7 beautiful pups. She has been taking very good care of them, with a little help from us. The pups are thriving and growing up stronger every day. They are now eating puppy food on their own and busy are playing with each other. Eventually, they will be spayed/neutered and made available for adoption. In the meantime, we have a few more weeks to go and are still in need of supplies…. Since we have so many litters of pups and moms, we are asking for donations to keep our pups happy and growing strong. We are caring for many litters of puppies and could use canned food for the Mothers, puppy food and formula, dried food and heating pads to help keep them warm. We have several mother dogs and litters of pups. All at various stages of growth. If possible, we are accepting donations by clicking on the link below. By doing so, this will allow us to purchase the necessary items for our babies. If unable to do so, donations can be dropped off in the donation box located at the front door. Mom & Pups – Part 2 Thank you for previously viewing our Mother’s Day pups. Today we are featuring another Mother with her pups. Believe it our not….these are Chihuahua Pitbull mixed pups. You read this right….YES…Chihuahua and Pitbull mixes. Mom is the dog in the back of the photo with the pointy ears. She only weighs about 15 pounds and is actually much smaller than her babies. Mom was abandoned in our parking lot, along with her babies. Someone opened the car door, placed them on the cement in a cage and drove away. Never looked back and could care less. We have been caring for them for some time now. Some were adopted and the others are still in our care. They are growing healthy and strong. These pups too require feedings of puppy food several times a day and are being well cared for. STAY TUNED FOR PART 3 FROM OUR MOMS AND PUPPIES SERIES….COMING SOON!
