FL SARC PARTNERS WITH CAT DEPOT FLORIDA URGENT RESCUE AND HAMILTON COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL TO RESCUE OVER 20 DOGS FROM LOCAL HOARDING CASE To help donate towards our expenses for this operation please click here 18 August 2024 Florida State Animal Response Coalition responded to assist Hamilton County Animal Control prior to the landfall of Hurricane Debbie on August 4th 2024. Acting on a request from local animal control SARC Manager Steve Carriere accompanied Rosalie Bonney the Hamilton County Animal Control director to a property found to have over 20 dogs on site and the elderly owner in immediate danger. As the storm approached and made landfall resources were coordinated through several partnerships including Florida Urgent Rescue Humane Society Tampa Bay SPCA Florida and Hamilton County Emergency Management to begin the rescue of these dogs after the owner agreed to surrender them. The owner was later admitted to the hospital for emergency care and eventual transfer to long term rehabilitation.
