Adding Donors... Saving Lives... One Campus at a Time... using the power of collegiate athletics! The Andy Talley Bone Marrow Foundation's mission is simple and straightforward. Utilizing the power of collegiate athletics, we recruit college football teams nationwide to host blood stem cell/bone marrow donor registry drives. In turn, we are able to add many young, healthy, and diverse students to the NMDP℠ Registry year after year. Our joint initiative with NMDP℠, titled "Get in the Game" (GITG), has added more than 220,000 registrants to date. Most importantly, since 2008, more than 1,300 GITG registrants have been identified as a patient's perfect match. These 1,300 courageous and selfless individuals all honored their commitment to save a life and donated their blood stem cells or bone marrow to a patient in need. One life saved would have been enough. We have helped save thousands!
