McGavock High School Band Excellence in All That We Do Main menu Welcome The McGavock High School Band of Nashville Tennessee has a long and rich tradition of musical excellence including a legacy of 25 Tennessee Marching State Champion Governors Cups and 5 Bands of America Grand National Finalist appearances. The Long Blue Line of the McGavock High School Band began in 1971with Kenny J. Hull as founding Director of Bands. Almost immediately after the programs inception an unmatched tradition would be created.
