UNITED TO END HUNGER IN McLENNAN COUNTY. IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THIS PURPOSE THE ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS INCLUDE: TO FOSTER PUBLIC AWARENESS ABOUT HUNGER AND FOOD INSECURITY. TO IMPROVE OUTREACH TO PERSONS AND FAMILIES IN NEED BECAUSE OF HUNGER. TO IMPROVE COLLABORATION AMONG PANTRIES AND OTHER FOOD PROVIDERS WHO SERVE THOSE EXPERIENCING HUNGER AND FOOD INSECURITY. TO PROMOTE AND FACILITATE SUPPORT PROGRAMS, INCLUDING FOOD DRIVES, FOOD RESCUE EFFORTS, COMMUNITY FEEDING PROGRAMS, ECT. TO IDENTIFY GAPS IN SERVICES AND TO ASSIT LOCAL AGENCIES IN DEVELOPING A STRATEGIC PLAN TO FILL THOSE GAPS. TO ADVOCATE ON BEHALF OF INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WHO SUFFER WITH HUNGER AND FOOD INSECURITY.
