The Bluegrass Opera's mission has three distinct parts: 1) To champion new and underperformed musical stage works (operas, musicals, and everything in between) that use music and words to inspire, educate, entertain, and unite broad and diverse groups of people; 2) To offer professional-caliber training in music and the arts for talented performers in the early stages of their careers, with an emphasis on the interpretation and performance of new works.  3) To help bring central Kentucky a reputation as one of the foremost destinations in the world for writers, composers, and audience members to see these new works brought to life.
