Heres what you need to know EXPLAINERS A lot has happened since the Inspector General unexpectedly resigned two weeks ago new legislation to overhaul the Office of the Inspector General OIG was passed the City Attorney claims to have terminated the OIGs contract with outside legal counsel the City published an Employee Bill of Rights and the mayor appointed a new interim Inspector General even though the appointment likely violates the City Charter. Twoterm Councilmember Amir Farokhi has announced he will serve through July and then resign to become Head of School at the Galloway School. Some parts of the ordinances will be up for a vote by NPUs some will be only for review and comment.
